Did you catch the comment that some people don't think it's even possible for someone to give informed consent in such a case? I thought that was really interesting. It didn't seem to be because people couldn't be given all the information. It seemed more that they didn't think people could grasp it in some other way. I wasn't sure what to make of that.
Yeah, I think that's rather odd. Sometimes I feel like a number of arguments like this are just attempts to rationalize an 'ick' factor.
